Area Prevention and Resource Center
The Area Prevention Resource Center (APRC) is the first grant awarded to Eagle Ridge Institute in 1989. The APRC proactively mobilize communities in Oklahoma County through consultation, research-based curriculum training, and coalition building to schools, community groups, and individuals, helping them to develop local strategies to reduce substance abuse and other health. The three initiatives of focus are:
Initiative 1: Underage Drinking Prevention: Environmental Strategies Policy and Collaboration Education Community Enforcement
Initiative 2: Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Prevention: Prevent the onset and prevent or reduce the problems associated with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use across the lifespan
Initiative 3: Prevention Capacity and Infrastructure Development: Build community-level capacity and infrastructure to effectively advance alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention goals.
