AmeriCorps VISTA Program
37,000,000 Americans live in poverty. YOU CAN HELP.
AmeriCorps*VISTA helps individuals and communities implement grassroots solutions designed to alleviate poverty.
The program places individuals at sponsor nonprofit organizations and public agencies that are fighting illiteracy, improving health services, reducing unemployment, increasing housing opportunities, reducing recidivism, and expanding access to technology for those living in rural and urban areas of poverty across America.
Eagle Ridge Institute is a sponsor non-profit organization operating over 10 major programs and services in diverse areas affecting low-income, culturally diverse youths, families, women and communities. While substance abuse remains a core issue, the agency has grown to address additional community needs including behavioral, emotional, social, and mental health services.
AmeriCorps*VISTA members will serve full time for a year recruiting community volunteers, raising funds, helping manage projects, and building the capacity of Eagle Ridge Institute to strengthen the impact of its programs and services.
Benefits include:
- Monthly Living Stipend
